Best dressed at the Oscars

Did anyone stay up to watch the Oscars last night? I was in bed by 9pm (when did I become so old?) so I missed it, but I was on my laptop first thing this morning to view all the magnificent gowns.
There were some wonderful treats, in particular Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford; very elegant and oh-so modern, she really triumphed as most stylish of the evening.  Penelope Cruz kept the romance of the Oscars alive by wearing a dreamy Giorgio Armani gown in lilac.  Then there was Octavia Spencer who really wowed me in her Tadashi Shoji glitzy number.  I'd have to say these ladies are my top three but I just had to include my other favourites too.  Keep an eye out for Livia Firth, Missi Pyle and Tom Hanks.

 Penelope Cruz in Giorgio Armani

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji - wouldn't this make for a gorgeous wedding dress?

Livia Firth looking very sweet in Valentino

Missi Pyle in Valentina Delfino - I just adore the detailing in this dress

Meryl Streep in Lanvin

 Michelle WIlliams in Louis Vuitton

Glenn Close looking incredible in emerald green by Zac Posen, although I'm not too sure about the jacket

Berenice Bejo in Elie Saab Couture

George Clooney in Giorgio Armani with the very lucky Stacy Kiebler in Marchesa

Tom Hanks looking very dapper in Tom Ford.  I especially like his choice for a double breasted fastening and the rounded lapels add a wonderful finish.

Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie in a very luxurious looking Atelier Versace gown
