Easy to wear 'fashion week cool'

An easy way to create an instant ‘fashion week cool’ outfit for your wardrobe is with this neat little trend.  Spotted by Style.com’s number one street style blogger Tommy Ton, this trend is easy to wear for both work and casual, and a delightful bonus is there’s no need to purchase anything new, you’re bound to have something in your wardrobe to suit.
The very simple, but oh-so ‘fashion week cool’, the shirt and jumper.  Have a look at the images below and see my tips that follow.

1.       Crew only.  Only crew neck jumpers will work for this trend, v-necks are out.
2.       Quick and easy.  White shirts or denim/chambray shirts are easiest to wear, even Miroslava Duma (see my To Russia with love post) opted for simple black and white.  Choose the white shirt if you’re wearing this for work and the denim/chambray if you’re opting to go casual.
3.       One or the other.  If you’re choosing to wear a jumper in a bold hue or pattern, I’d opt for a softer hue and no pattern for the shirt.  Similarly if you choose to wear a bold or patterned shirt, the jumper should be toned down to let the shirt do the talking.
4.       Tails out.  An un-tucked shirt with the tails dropping below the jumper adds a little ‘cool’ to the look.
I'll be wearing my shirt and jumper look today, I've chosen my denim shirt, peach oversized pearl knit jumper and navy trousers...tails out naturally.
